Walnut Morley Rocker custom made fine wood furniture

This rocker is a new variation of my original prototype made with beautiful walnut. I originally designed this rocking chair for my wife in 2008 as we were expecting our first child. I wanted a chair that had clean elegant lines but also was comfortable and easy to move. I came up with the prototype that my wife used for several years. During my apprenticeship with master craftsman Michael Colca, we revisited the rocker to improve its comfort and rock. After several variations, we were really pleased with the result. As with all my furniture, I am meticulous about the craftsmanship used to hold the piece together. I carefully selected the wood to match the elegance of the piece and the rocker was constructed using traditional joinery methods.
