Small record console with Philip Morley
In this seven-day class, build your skills and furnish your home with a clean and contemporary Morley Cabinet.
Inspired by the works of James Krenov with a Scandinavian influence and a “Mad Men” flair, Philip designed this cabinet as a stand-alone piece to hold a record console or your household items.
You will work with solid wood, plywood and commercial veneer to create this sleek and elegant cabinet designed by Phil. You learn multiple techniques and joints but also get to study alongside one of America’s noted modern furniture makers. This project will be capped off with a modern sliding tambour door.

You will also learn about the importance of reference faces, and how to achieve a beautiful grain. Along the way, you will grow your woodworking skills by refining your layout, measurement, and building techniques, Plus you will have the opportunity to add unique design touches, including brass, leather, mirrors, and casters.
The cost of this class includes delicious and sustaining lunches for you daily so that you can concentrate on your work.
Materials: Provided by the School with the exception of some personal touches.
